✓REST API · the /v1 contract

The source of truth, served over /v1.

One contract behind every surface: a signed answer for Medicare reimbursement. Every endpoint takes as_of; every envelope returns meta.as_of; every answer traces to a primary source.

Base https://api.verzi.health/v1 · auth X-API-Key · free tier 100 requests/day

What it is

Three doors to one room. The API is the room.

The /v1 API is the single source of truth. The SDK and the MCP server are derived from its committed OpenAPI contract, never hand-maintained in parallel. Integrate over plain HTTP from any language.

Quickstart

The first call needs no key.

The source archive and as-of resolution are public. Ask which version of a policy document was in force on a date, then sign up for a key when you want the signed answer.

public · no key
# Which version of LCD L33718 was in force on a date of service?
curl "https://api.verzi.health/v1/archive/docs/lcd:33718/as-of?date=2024-01-15"
free key · provider standing
# OIG exclusion screening
curl -H "X-API-Key: vh_live_…" "https://api.verzi.health/v1/exclusions/check/1234567890"

Signup is reviewed. A new key is created pending and activates after approval, usually within 1 business day. The full endpoint reference lives in the docs.

The surface

Public archive. Free standing checks. Paid signed answer.

Every /v1 path lives behind the same contract. These are the families a claims workflow starts with.

GET /archive/docs/{doc_id}/as-of · /versions · /sources
The source archive: every captured version of a policy document, with effective dates, hashes, and the version in force on a date.
public
GET /exclusions/… · /sources
Provider standing: federal and state exclusion screening by NPI, and the provenance catalog of every source.
key · free tier
GET /rules/warrant · /rules/warrant/changes · /rules/…
The signed-answer join (standing, fee, edits, documentation, each with its receipt), the change timeline, and the individual rule reads.

Same wall on every surface. The signed answer is the paid product on the API, the SDK, and the MCP alike: one entitlement, read by all three. Signed attestations ship with every answer, verifiable offline.

The archive answers without a key. The rest is one reviewed signup away.
